Construction of a unique object-the National Museum of the Republic of Buryatia — continues in Ulan-Ude. The large-scale project promises to become not only a cultural but also an architectural symbol of the republic. The building of the National Museum is being built according to the master plan of Ulan-Ude, approved on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Construction is expected to be completed next year. The museum will feature the richest collection of Buryat museums, including the crown of the Buddhist oracle, which has no analogues in any museum in Russia. We will tell you how the construction is going and what features will distinguish the museum from other cultural objects of the country in our report.

Panoramic elevators and grand circular staircase. Step by step, a unique project is brought to life. The construction of the National Museum of Buryatia is proceeding strictly according to plan. The main part has already been completed — the reinforced concrete frame of the building, which, by the way, has no analogues in Russia.

The building will become a real architectural masterpiece — a lotus flower floating on the waters of the river. The image will combine elements of traditional Buryat culture with modern technologies. For example, a glass dome at the highest point of a building will create a second light effect. The building area is 15 thousand square meters. There will be dozens of exhibition halls, and most importantly — unique cultural objects.

Now preparatory work is underway for the installation of an anti-aircraft lantern. Such a glass dome will be beautiful, which will give out the 2nd light to the atrium of the museum lobby. The effect of floating on the ground floor will create arched vaults, and stained glass elements will give the building transparency. The facade will be decorated with Buryat ornaments and symbols. Even now, the building is gradually becoming a cultural symbol of the republic.

Vyacheslav Makarov, Regional Director for projects of JSC "Management Company" Infratech Concessions "of Rostec State Corporation:" The structure of the building itself is very complicated, but the general contractor is quite experienced and we have successfully built the object. Now work is underway on the construction of internal walls and partitions, and the facade is also being worked on."

The building of the National Museum is being built according to the master plan of Ulan-Ude, approved on behalf of the President of Russia. Each stage is carefully monitored by the Capital Construction Department.

Konstantin UshakovDeputy Minister of Construction and Housing of Buryatia — Chairman of the Committee for the Implementation of Capital Construction Programs: "All load-bearing and internal structures are being tested. In addition, the quality of building materials is not only controlled, but also all safety standards are observed."

As of today, the building is 60% ready. It is planned to complete the construction next year. A unique exhibit — the crown of a Buddhist oracle, which has no analogues in any museum in Russia-will take pride of place in the new museum.
